Robert C. Dixon for Bear Lake Township Trustee

I am formerly from Lansing graduated Lansing Eastern in 1979; I have lived in Northern Michigan for over 32 years. I tell most people that I came up for a 2 week vacation in 1982 and I’m still on it after 32 years. I resided for 7 years in our cabin on Lake Margrethe and worked for Custom Forest Products of Grayling.

I am a family man and in 1990 I married my wife Tena (Riddle) Dixon and moved to and now live at: 1155 Goose Creek RD NE, Bear Lake Twp. For the last 25 years. Raised three children, all graduated High School and Collage and all have careers.

I am a very avid outdoorsman, love to hunt, fish, camping and ride ATV’s.

In 1990 I opened and operated my own business Dixon Construction Co. Until 2003 (license Builder) through the State of Michigan, had 10 employees, 2 crews and built many Custom Homes all over Northern Michigan.

In 1997 I became a state certified Building Inspector and worked part time for Crawford County Building Dept. as an Asst. Building Inspector until 2003.

In 2003  I went to work full time for Grayling Township as a Building Official/Asst. Zoning Admin. And have run the Department for the last 11 years. I have now been appointed Deputy Township Supervisor for Grayling Township. In case the absence of the Township Supervisor I can take care of day to day business.
